Special features are often added to these vanes during the design process at the request of the customer to makes the item additionally unique. Family name or property name engravings, wind cups and rain gauges can be easily added. Most popularly, customer send in a picture of their cabin or property so that the designer can tailor a unique addition to the vane to match some property characteristic.
